Free Credit Card Numbers
By: Anne Durrell
There are an amazingly high number of internet searches for free credit card numbers. These are people trying to obtain the free credit card numbers either from other people's accounts or trying to find ways to generate numbers so they can purchase things without paying for them.
The basis behind this scam is that you're supposed to walk into a bank and try to get the bank teller to give you free credit card numbers. If that doesn't work, apparently you try to fill in a credit card application with falsified information.
Both of these options simply don't work. Even if you give a false name and address, how will you collect the card you've created? Besides, banks aren't as stupid as you might think. They have security measures in place that you probably never would have considered.
While these silly rumors have been circulating for years, there's no truth in them. If you really want a credit card that badly, apply for one and then take responsibility for your repaying own debts like any other responsible adult.
Here's the truth about free credit card numbers:
1. Generating Free Credit Card Numbers Is Illegal
Trying to generate free credit card numbers is illegal. Even if you do manage to find a way to create a set of numbers that might result in you being able to use them, keep in mind that most credit card transactions are verified electronically.
This means even if you can generate something that looks like a real number, it won't be processed. The transaction will be declined and you'll be flagged by the retailer or vendor for trying to put through a fraudulent transaction.
2. Giving Out Other People's Free Credit Card Numbers Is Illegal
If you manage to capture the numbers from other people's accounts and then sell them or give them out to others, this is illegal and you can be charged with a criminal offense for this activity.
3. Trying To Buy Things Using Free Credit Card Numbers is Fraud
Fraud is a serious offense in most countries. If you're caught trying to purchase anything using fraudulently created credit card numbers, you can be sure the electronic record of the purchase and/or delivery of the goods is tracked. They'll find you and when they do, you'll be charged with fraud.
4. Credit Card Tracking Devices
If you've ever looked closely at a real credit card, you'll notice that it has a tiny microchip implanted on it. This is the bank's way of tracking the actual usage of that card. They'll happily tell you that the chip is only there to protect against fraudulent use, but what they don't tell you is they can track where in the world your purchases are coming from. This makes it easy for them to find the thief anywhere.
So if you're still silly enough to try and obtain free credit card numbers go right ahead. Most countries are aware of the rampant use of stolen credit card numbers and they have entire sections within police departments dedicated to credit card fraud.
